Barry Hill Sunday Racing Tips
Barry Hill has 4 tips today after a 50% strike rate yesterday.
12.20 KELSO
Belhaven Black Classic Handicap Hurdle (Go North Brindisi Breeze Series Qualifier)
FOXS FANCY - 10/1
FOXS FANCY gets the nod in this extended two and three quarter mile handicap hurdle. Her jumping can be sketchy, but when she gets into a rhythm she’s very effective at this level, especially in testing ground. She was ultra game when winning her maiden at Perth and will keep finding when others cry enough. If they go too hard up front, she’s the one most likely to be staying on strongest up the long run in.
3.00 HUNTINGDON
Sky Bet Peterborough Chase (Grade 2) (GBB Race)
SAINT SAM - 15/8
SAINT SAM looks the one to beat. His narrow Grade Two defeat to Found A Fifty at Fairyhouse was one of his strongest career efforts, and this speed-favoured track is tailor-made for his forward-going style. With conditions ideal and his ability to bowl along from the front, he has every chance of controlling this race and proving very hard to peg back.
2.15 CORK
Joe Buckley Construction Stayers Novice Hurdle (Grade 3)
KALYPSO'CHANCE - 6/4
KALYPSO’CHANCE looks the one to beat. A talented bumper performer who sharpened up on his second hurdles start, he took a Grade Three over 2m4f at Navan in good style and shaped as though a stronger stamina test would suit even better. Soft ground is a plus, and his point-to-point win confirms he stays well. Even with a penalty, he has the class and profile to improve again now stepping up to 3m.
2.37 KELSO
Richard Landale Handicap Chase (GBB Race)
TRAPRAIN LAW - 10/3
TRAPRAIN LAW looks ready to strike now that the handicapper has eased him to a mark of 130, just 2lb above his last winning rating. He has solid course form, ran well off much higher marks last season and has shaped with promise on both starts this term, including a strong course and distance second. With conditions to suit, this looks a good opportunity for him to get back on track.
