John O'Keeffe is back with a couple of selections from Irish racing at Ballinrobe.
7.15 BALLINROBE
CURROY LADY - 7/4
CURROY LADY returns to the scene of her eventful handicap debut, where despite racing wide and a broken rein, she still ran on well to finish third over this course and distance.
Her mark remains unchanged, and with Colin Keane now in the saddle, she looks capable of building on that run. Her maiden form was modest, but she shaped last time like a filly better than her rating suggests.
8.20 BALLINROBE
Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies & Mares Handicap
HEATHER - 10/3
HEATHER impressed when winning a Dundalk maiden in February and shaped well when second at Naas last month behind Galveston, who has since run a big race in the King Edward VII at Royal Ascot.
A full sister to Irish Derby winner Latrobe, she should relish this step up in trip and looks a strong contender on the back of that solid form.
