Barry Hill Cheltenham Tips - Day 4
Barry Hill has his best bets of the day on the Day 4 of the 2026 Cheltenham Festival.
1.20 CHELTENHAM
JCB Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1) (GBB Race)
HIGHLAND CRYSTAL - 15/2
HIGHLAND CRYSTAL can make a bold bid in the Triumph Hurdle for Gordon Elliott. Unbeaten in three starts, she impressed when beating Saratoga at Naas, a result that has been boosted since. A Listed winner at Newbury earlier in the season and receiving weight from the colts, she looks a filly still improving and capable of stepping up again.
2.00 CHELTENHAM
William Hill County Handicap Hurdle (Premier Handicap) (GBB Race)
SECRET SQUIRREL - 14/1 (E/W)
SECRET SQUIRREL showed enough on his return in the Kingwell Hurdle to suggest he can be competitive here. He was travelling strongly when falling at the last in a valuable handicap at Newbury earlier in the season and, despite a spell on the sidelines since, he appears to have retained plenty of ability. If returning to that level, he looks well treated and capable of getting involved.
3.20 CHELTENHAM
Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) (Registered As The Spa Novices' Hurdle) (GBB Race)
DOCTOR STEINBERG - 3/1
DOCTOR STEINBERG brings strong credentials into the Albert Bartlett after winning all three of his starts over hurdles, including the Nathaniel Lacy at Leopardstown. He had other options but is clearly held in high regard by the yard, and the step up in trip should suit if he settles. With Paul Townend taking the ride, he looks capable of running a big race.
5.20 CHELTENHAM
Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)
ROC DINO - 7/1
ROC DINO has gone close on both starts since joining Willie Mullins from France and has shaped with plenty of promise in maiden hurdles. Still lightly raced with very few miles on the clock, the move into handicap company could unlock further improvement and he looks an interesting runner.
