Barry Hill offers up his UK Racing Tips from Nottingham & Ripon
3.52 NOTTINGHAM
Blogger The Train Stopper Fillies' Handicap
BINTSHUAA - 11/4
It looks a competitive handicap at Nottingham, but BINTSHUAA gets the nod for David Menuisier.
The Kodiac filly showed promise on debut and looked much improved when third on her handicap and stable debut at Kempton in May. That effort over a mile suggested she’s heading the right way, and with Rossa Ryan booked, she looks primed to build on that run.
7.22 RIPON
Energy Oasis Your Net Zero Partner Handicap
JEZ BOMB - 4/1
JEZ BOMB can be slowly away, but he's in top form and worth chancing. He was awkward at the start here last time yet stayed on well for fourth behind Spioradalta.
A pound lower now and back at a track he runs well at, he should be a contender if Oisin Orr can find the gaps at the right time.
8.52 RIPON
Ripon Theatre Festival 1st-6th July Handicap
TIMELESS SPIRT - 7/1
TIMELESS SPIRT makes appeal in the Ripon closer for Paul Attwater, dropping in class and running off a 1lb lower mark than when catching the eye on handicap debut at Nottingham.
Unlucky in running that day, the daughter of Time Test showed enough to suggest she's one to keep onside. This is just her fifth start, and with more improvement likely, especially under 5lb claimer Rhys Elliott, she looks ready to strike soon. A half-sister to multiple winners including Group 3 scorer Perfect Tribute, she won’t remain a maiden for long.
