Stephen Welch's NAP of the Day (2nd December)
MUY MUY LOCO is taken to follow up his impressive breakthrough win and double up at Lingfield.

MUY MUY LOCO – 10/3
Muy Muy Loco arrives here with momentum after finally getting off the mark over this C&D seven weeks ago and there was plenty to like about the manner of that success. Switched wide turning for home, he quickened noticeably better than anything in the race and powered through the line, suggesting the move up to 1m2f had unlocked a level of improvement his previous runs at shorter distances only hinted at. A 3lbs rise is entirely manageable, especially for a horse who still looks to be learning on the job.
Simon Dow’s gelding isn’t the most straightforward, headgear remains on, but Lingfield’s sweeping straight and strong pace profile suited him perfectly last time and he gets an identical set-up again here. From a handy draw in stall 9, expect Paddy Bradley to drop him in early, track the tempo and angle him out late to produce that same wide-launching run. If he settles and travels with the same fluency, he should be finishing best of all again.
The dangers are familiar. Masqool is a hardened, reliable C&D operator, but even at his best he doesn’t possess the same turn of foot Muy Muy Loco showed last time. Salaria remains progressive but must prove she can transfer her Chelmsford form to this more tactical track. Bintazzo and Hoornblower have pieces of form yet lack the same upside.
Verdict: With confidence boosted, a race shape that looks set to play to his strengths again, and only a modest rise in the weights, MUY MUY LOCO is taken to follow up his impressive breakthrough win and double up at Lingfield. A strong winning chance and today’s NAP.
